The
Eighth
International Workshop on Non-Crystalline Solids will be held
in Gijón, Spain, from 20 to 23 June of 2006. The meeting,
organized by the Department of Physics,
University
of Oviedo (Uniovi), focuses on the recent advances on non-crystalline
and nanostructured materials from fundamental studies to applications.
A group of invited speakers will lecture on recent advances
in the field. The Workshop
will be a forum where participants
can present and discuss their recent works. The
attendance of young students will be encouraged
by the Organizing Committee.
The scientific program will consist on
invited plenary lectures,
contributed oral presentations, and contributions in poster
sessions. A special issue
of the
JOURNAL OF NON-CRYSTALLINE SOLIDS
will contain the contributions of participants (impact
factor: 1.433).
The meeting will take place at the Gallery Art & Food
